The Galleria Ronchini Arte Contemporanea opened in 1992 with the original goal of creating an exhibition space where works by art historical artists could co-habit with those by young artists belonging to the international vanguards.

It was not by chance that the first solo and group exhibitions were motivated by the need to introduce to the general public both the work by artists considered contemporary classics and young artists who, in that moment, represented the idea of innovation in the field of visual arts.

Therefore the choice was focused on the display of Minimal and Conceptual works of art such as Daniel Buren, Joseph Kosuth, Frank Stella as well as of the Italian Arte Povera by artists such as Alighiero Boetti, Michelangelo Pistoletto, together with the young artists of the so-called New Futurism. During the mid 1990s the artistic choice of the gallery was directed towards the Figurative Italian Art with various exhibitions devoted to the artists of the so-called "New Roman School" - Piero Pizzi Cannella, Nunzio, Gianni Dessì, Giuseppe Gallo- and with solo exhibitions of other artists of the 80s and 90s such as Giuseppe Maraniello, Pietro Gilardi, Sergio Fermariello and Paolo Serra.

Much attention was dedicated to the Austrian Art with the exhibitions of works by representatives of the Viennese Actionism like Hermann Nitsch.

Furthermore, in the last few years, a space has been destined to photography and to young artists such as Alex Pinna, Lucio and Peppe Perone and Corrado Zeni, whose works are present in private collections as well as in national and international public ones .

The gallery published various catalogues in collaboration with art critics such as Achille Bonito Oliva, Luca Beatrice, Maurizio Sciaccaluga, Demetrio Paparoni, Manuela Annibali, Alessandra Galletta, Lorenzo Mango, etc.

The Galleria Ronchini Arte Contemporanea regularly participates in the various contemporary art fairs such as Bologna and Milan where it displays, following its philosophy, important representatives of contemporary art as well as young talented artists.
